Carrom Pool by Miniclip is a digital mobile version of classic Indian carrom board game. The game uses a striker to knock discs into corner pockets. This beginner guide explains controls, rules, queen mechanics, fouls and simple strategies for new players.

Game Objective

Your main goal is to pocket all your colour discs (either black or white) before your opponent. You also need to handle the red queen properly to win the round. Pocket all your discs and cover the queen to claim victory and earn coins.

Board & Pieces

- **Striker**: The larger disc you shoot. Drag to aim, pull back to set power and release to fire.
- **Carrom men**: Black and white small discs, 9 each.
- **Queen**: The red disc at the centre, the most valuable piece.

Mobile Controls

1. Touch and drag the striker area at the bottom of the screen.
2. Adjust the aim line to point toward your target disc.
3. Pull backward to increase shot power; release to shoot.
4. If you pocket one of your own discs, you get another turn.
5. Your turn ends immediately if you miss, pocket opponent’s disc or commit a foul.

How to Play Step by Step

1. **Break shot**: The first shot of the game. Hit the stacked discs in the centre to spread them around the board.
2. Choose your target colour: The first colour you pocket becomes your discs for the match.
3. Pocket your discs one by one. Every successful legal pocket lets you shoot again.
4. **Queen rule**: You can only pocket the queen after you have pocketed at least one of your discs. After potting the queen, your next shot must pocket one of your own discs to **cover** the queen. If you fail, queen returns back to the board’s centre.
5. Finish all your discs and cover the queen to win the board.

Common Fouls (Penalties)

- **Pocketing the striker**: Foul. One of your already pocketed discs goes back to the centre. If you have no pocketed discs, just lose your turn.
- **Pocket opponent’s disc**: Turn ends, opponent keeps that disc.
- **Pocket your last disc before covering queen**: You lose the round instantly, even if all your discs are potted.
- **Double fouls stack penalties, so avoid risky shots early on**.

Game Modes

- **Classic Carrom**: Standard rules with queen, best for beginners to learn.
- **Disc Pool**: No queen. Simply pocket all your discs to win, easier for new players to practice aiming.
- **Freestyle**: Higher stakes and different scoring, play this only once you get comfortable.

Beginner Tips

1. Start with Disc Pool mode first to practice aiming without worrying about queen rules.
2. Use low to medium power for most shots. Powerful shots make it hard to control the striker and cause fouls.
3. Always watch the aim preview line before releasing.
4. Do not rush to pocket the queen early. Keep it for later when you have a clear shot to cover it.
5. Practice in training tables before entering high-stakes matches.
6. Unlock better strikers gradually. Higher-quality strikers improve aim, power and control.

Final Thoughts

Carrom Pool is simple to learn but takes practice to master. Master your shot power and understand the queen covering rule, and you will avoid most beginner mistakes. Start with low coin tables, take your time on each shot, and slowly build your accuracy.
